Between managing hectic work schedules and keeping up with two young children and a sweet senior dog, life moves fast. When we're not working, we want to be present for the moments with our young family that matter most.We value kindness, humor, and a sense of calm in everyday chaos. We're looking for someone to help keep us organized and things running smoothly so we can focus less on the never-ending to-do list and more on being the parents and people we want to be. We're collaborative, easygoing, and deeply appreciate someone who treats our home with the same care and respect they'd give their own.Who You AreYou're a highly organized person who brings a calming, positive energy into any space. You walk into a room, take stock of what needs to happen, and handle it without being asked. You're resourceful and truly enjoy creating order and ease in a home. You enjoy tackling the things that feel heaviest to a busy household: staying on top of organization, managing inventory, keeping daily tidying under control, and handling all those little admin tasks that quietly pile up. You're also able to help us at our home in the Hudson Valley (about an hour outside the city), typically monthly. You have a project manager's mindset: you notice the low pantry stock, the seasonal maintenance that's due, the clutter creeping back in, and you take care of it proactively. You don't just surface problems; you proactively offer solutions. You're flexible and happy to roll with the punches, taking on tasks big and small with enthusiasm. You are professional and have the emotional intelligence to read the room, knowing when to engage warmly and when to work independently. You're steady, confident, and solution oriented. You're resourceful and confident enough to handle household issues independently but seek guidance on key decisions. You're a responsive, thoughtful and proactive communicator.Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Organization & MaintenanceCreate and maintain household organization systems across both propertiesPerform daily resets and prepare the home for cleaning servicesTidying as needed: toys, artwork, dishes, surfaces, vacuuming crumbs (three-year-olds!), and weekly fridge/freezer organization to prevent buildupManage seasonal swaps for clothing, decor, bedding, and outdoor items (especially at the Hudson Valley property)Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offsPrepare the home for events, holidays, and guest staysAssist with packing and unpacking for travelPlant careChange batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectorsInventory & ErrandsRestock pantry/fridge/household suppliesManage running household supply listsMaintain pet suppliesManage and collaborate on household orders and subscriptions (e.g. Amazon)Run errands: post office, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, grocery shoppingHandle mail and package deliveries; break down boxesAdministrative & Personal Assistant SupportMaintain awareness of family calendar, including household schedulesAssist with and manage family projects: e.g., documenting/organizing children's artwork, printing and mailing school photos to family and friends, school/camp forms as neededTrack receipts and budget for expenses incurred as house managerOccasional help with event and appointment coordinationDeep Cleaning & Special ProjectsOversee occasional deep cleans of fridge, oven, and baseboards (coordinating with cleaners as needed)Refresh garage (Hudson Valley only), mudroom, and entryway areasClean and maintain humidifiers and air purifiers, washer / dryer, dishwasher, ice machine etc.Tackle major organizational projects (toys, gear, pantry, basement, mudroom)Family Support & Child AssistancePrep backpacks and activity bags with necessary items so parents can grab and goCoordinate occasional babysitters as neededManage kid-related errandsEmergency backup pickups, drop-offs, and light child supervision (not a regular duty)Vendor & Property OversightOversee cleaners/contractors/landscapers/vendorsResearch/coordinate repairs and quotesSeasonal property maintenanceManage outdoor spacesEstate-Level OversightManage multiple properties (Harlem and Hudson Valley)Ensure property readinessOversee home systems (HVAC/security/water filter)Conduct routine property walkthroughs in Hudson ValleyLaundry (Upstate Only)Wash, fold, and organize laundryMaintain tidy and well-stocked laundry area (city as well)Vehicle ManagementOccasional: charging/organizing/scheduling cleanings for vehiclesHow to ApplyPlease submit a short intro letter, updated resume, and three professional references with contact information.
